Note: Northumbria Rail Ltd. is not against the development of closed track bed formations into footpaths, cycle ways, etc. as long as the development does not hinder or prevent any possible reinstatement of a railway using the original formation. Surveys of formations (condition, etc.) will be conducted soon.
