Mr. David M. Shell - Managing Director

Dave Dave is the driving force behind Northumbria Rail, coming up with the original concept back in 1995 when a volunteer at the QE II CPR. Dave is the owner of Northumbria, Simonside & Cheviot. Good knowledge of engineering. Also has good knowledge of computing and is one of the web site editors. Trained chainsaw and cut-off saw operator and owner. Trained diesel driver (via RJB). Qualified in First Aid at Work. Dave currently works full time for the Driving Standards Agency. Member of AVRS, WRT, C37LG, C15PS, OTPPG, & CVR.

Mr. Craig D. Owen - Managing Director

Craig Craig set up the Blyth & Tyne Diesel Group in a similar vain to Dave. Qualified electrical engineer. Also has good knowledge of computing and is one of the web site editors. Craig is a passed out Diesel second man and a Trainee driver (via NNR). Craig is also a Managing Director of QuadTech Ltd., the number one Bombardier Sports dealer in the UK, and is part of the Club-Bombardier racing team. Craig is currently working on IT projects for the NHS. Our advisor on UCRs and green lanes, and has links to trial bike and quad groups. Member of NNR.

Ms. Julie Rana-Shell - Company Secretary

Julie As well as being the company secretary, Julie also helps with public relations & promotions. Our advisor on footpaths and bridleways with links to many regional equestrian groups (EGB). Julie currently works full time as a class room assistant.

Mr. Barry Shell - Mechanical Engineering

Baz Baz has had many years experience of railways and heavy industry. Good knowledge of engineering. Trained chainsaw & cut-off saw operator & owner. Trained diesel driver (via GEGB & RJB), also holds HGV road licence. Qualified first aider. Baz currently works full time for Northumbria Police. Baz is "Volunteer Coordinator" on the committee of the AVRS, and is a member of WRT, & K&WVR.

Dr. Michael G. Murray - Civil Engineering

Michael Michael is a qualified civil engineer, specialising in water management. Michael is also involved in rebuilding a Fordson Dexta tractor (Dexta website).
